How it works

City Squad turns “I noticed a problem” into a tracked request your city can act on — pinned to the exact spot on a map and routed to the right department. Reporting takes under a minute, and you don’t need an account.

Report an issue

From report to resolved

Three steps from spotting a problem to getting it on the city’s radar.

1

Pin the location

Drop a marker on the map — or use your current location — so crews know exactly where to go.

2

Describe the issue

Pick a category and add a short description. That is all it takes to file a report.

3

Track to resolution

Your report is routed to the right department and its status updates until it is fixed.

What you can report

Anything in the public right-of-way that a city crew handles — potholes and damaged sidewalks, broken or flickering streetlights, malfunctioning traffic signals, missed garbage or overflowing bins, blocked storm drains and flooding, damaged park equipment and fallen trees, graffiti and dumping, stray animals and pests, and more. If you’re not sure which category fits, pick the closest one — the city can reroute it.

Following your report

Every report gets a reference code and moves through a clear set of statuses so you always know where it stands:

  • Submitted: Your report is received and given a reference code.
  • Acknowledged: The city has seen it and confirmed it belongs to them.
  • In progress: A crew or department is actively working on it.
  • Resolved: The issue is fixed. You can see when and by which team.

Some reports are also marked closed, duplicate, or declined when a city consolidates similar reports or an issue falls outside its responsibility. Sign in to see all of your reports and their current status under My reports.

For city teams

On the city side, every report lands in one queue, routed by category, with the exact location and a live map. Staff triage, assign, and update status — and residents see the progress. See how City Squad works for cities →
