Frequently asked questions
Is City Squad free to use?
Yes. Reporting an issue is completely free for residents — no fees and no app to buy.
Do I need an account to report an issue?
No. You can submit a report without signing up. Creating a free account lets you keep track of the reports you’ve filed and their status.
What can I report?
Anything in the public right-of-way that a city crew handles: potholes and damaged sidewalks, broken streetlights, faulty traffic signals, missed garbage collection, blocked storm drains and flooding, damaged park equipment and fallen trees, graffiti and illegal dumping, stray animals and pests, and more.
Who sees my report?
Your report is routed to the responsible department at your city. Your personal contact details are not shown publicly — only the information needed to locate and fix the problem.
How is this different from calling 311?
Instead of waiting on hold, you report in under a minute from your phone, pin the exact location on a map, and get a reference code you can follow from submitted to resolved.
How do I track the status of a report?
Sign in and open “My reports” to see every report you’ve filed and its current status — submitted, acknowledged, in progress, or resolved.
Which cities is City Squad available in?
We’re rolling out city by city. If your city isn’t live yet, you can still explore how it works — and if you’d like to bring City Squad to your city, get in touch through our “For cities” page.
Is my personal information private?
Yes. We only use your information to process and route your report. It isn’t sold, and it isn’t displayed publicly alongside your report.
